HereUs a really neat and polished HyperCard stack from a friend of mine. Please do support him by sending in the small shareware fee. One can hardly believe that he did this entire stack on a Mac Plus! Please send all bug reports, suggestions, comments (and money) to him via snail mail as he does not have an email address yet.
HyperFrog is an interactive HyperCard Stack that is a survey of the biology, anatomy, and ecology of the Frog. It includes a graphical look at the larval and adult frog, as well as separate Glossary and Review sections. It has been used successfully with introductory High School Biology classes. Hyperfrog is distributed as shareware for a $15.00 fee, US currency, please.

This is the demo of the frog dissection program avaliable from
Cross Educational Software. All the interesting parts have been
censored because we are distributing this program to the public.
The frog has slimy green skin and juicy innards like a real frog
but you don't have to kill a real frog to see what's inside.
This is a reposting of the frogdemo with slimier colors.
Enjoy,

Function Master 1.0 --Demo Version
Function Master is an application for graphing and manipulating
functions like polynomials, fractions, trigonometric, logarithmic,
and exponential functions. The user can specify the coefficients
of the function and change them interactively to see the effects
of each coefficient on the overall behavior of the function.
The demo version is limited to { Tan(aX^2 + bX + c) + d } and does
not utilize the FPU (a little slow especially for very small step sizes).
The full version will cost $10 (to cover cat food for Sheba) .

Hi sumex-aim.stanford.edu
(About "pI_protein")
Please include this file in the sumex-aim.stanford.edu archive. I think, that it should be put in a science or molecular biology directory as it is an excel worksheet made for prediction for isoelectric point of a protein.
Description:
An excel (version 3.0a) worksheet for prediction of the isoelectric point of a protein.

Please exchange this new version planet-c-51.hqx of Planet Color with the old one
sci/planet-c-50.hqx. The new version fixes a bug that made it crash on some machines.
Planet is a program for computing the locations of the visible planets for any time and any place on earth. It also contains a very sofisticatd interface for eclipse computations. Planet Color is intended for Macs with a color screen and FPU. For other machines use the program archived in app/planet-50.hqx.

After having posted our (non-FPU) demo version of proFit 4.1.2
here, we have received numerous request for the FPU version of
the demo package.
Here it is.
proFit is an application for scientific data analysis for the
Macintosh.
It comes with a professional graphic editor for presentation of
data and mathematical functions, a built-in Pascal compiler for
defining functions
and data transformation algorithms, offers an interactive fitting
environment for modelling data and much more. And still, it is very
easy to use. Everybody working with functions and data should have a
look at it.
This package also includes a short introduction showing all
features of proFit.
The enclosed demo version provides all features of proFit except

I am enclosing a DA called 'sci', which contains many scientific conversions.
It does meters to feet and watts to BTU/sec, but alas, I found no entry for
pascals to PSI. The DA was created using an application called 'Create a
Text DA', a copy of which I have enclosed under a separate cover. This
application lets you take any text file and convert it into a DA from which
you can copy information and paste into your documents (although you can't
paste text into the DA itself). I've used this application in the past
to make a DA containing my frequently used BITNET addresses (among other
things). Since you can copy text from the DAs created with this application,
you can recover the conversion info from sci, add your own conversions, and
create a new DA that is customized for your needs.

This is a demonstration version of SerePlot 2.0 an application for technical X-Y graphing and data analysis that can be scripted with Apple Events. SerePlot supports the Apple Event Object Model and can be controlled with such applications as UserLand Frontier, AppleScript and upcoming versions of Hypercard. Support for the Core, Table and Quickdraw suites of Apple Events is provided. In addition two custom suites, the Plot suite and Engine suite, provide objects for graphing and data analysis. Every significant feature of the program can be controlled with Apple Events.
Features of SerePlot include linear and nonlinear curve fitting to user defined functions, Fourier transforms, smoothing, interpolation, integration, peak finding and more. A set of interactive tools for on screen data analysis allows integration, differentiation, point finding and other operations to be performed on screen using the mouse.
Plots are publication quality, text fonts and styles may be mixed and superscripts and subscripts are supported.
The demo has a Frontier install file with several example scripts including interapplication communication via Apple Events between SerePlot and Excel 4.0 and automated analysis of spectral data with smoothing, peak finding and integration. Two Frontier "droplets" are provided. Droplets are applications that contain scripts that run when a file or folder is dragged onto them. One droplet opens every data file in a folder, plots the data and performs a linear fit.
The Apple Event demos can be run using Frontier Runtime 2.0, the shareware version of Frontier. Locations where Runtime 2.0 can be downloaded from are listed.
The demo does not save, and features have a limited number of uses in a session.

Enclosed in this mailing is version 1.0.2 of SkyChart 2000.0. Please replace the current SkyChart 2000.0 archive with it.
SkyChart 2000.0 is a program for calculating and displaying the appearance of
the night sky. With it, you can find the positions of the sun, moon, stars,
and planets for any time or place. You can view the sky as it would appear
from another planet or even another star system, and animate the motions
of the planets and even the constellations over thousands of years.
SkyChart 2000.0 requires an FPU. However, in this update, a version of thge program is included that will run on any mac, with or without an FPU (although
